中国商飞是实施国家大型飞机重大专项中大型客机项目的主体，也是统筹干线飞机和支线飞机发展、实现我国民用飞机产业化的主要载体，主要从事民用飞机及相关产品的科研、生产、试验试飞，从事民用飞机销售及服务、租赁和运营等相关业务。

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) is the main body responsible for implementing the National Major Special Project for Large Aircraft, as well as the main carrier for coordinating the development of mainline and regional aircraft and realizing the industrialization of civil aircraft in China. COMAC mainly engages in scientific research, production, testing and flight testing of civil aircraft and related products, as well as sales, services, leasing and operation of civil aircraft.

中国商飞于2008年5月11日成立，总部设在上海。由国务院国有资产监督管理委员会、上海国盛（集团）有限公司、中国航空工业集团有限公司、中国铝业集团有限公司、中国宝武钢铁集团有限公司、中国中化股份有限公司共同出资组建，2018年底新增股东单位中国建材集团有限公司、中国电子科技集团有限公司、中国国新控股有限责任公司。

COMAC was established on May 11, 2008, with its headquarters located in Shanghai. It was jointly established by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Shanghai Guosheng (Group) Co., Ltd., Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Aluminum Corporation of China, China Baowu Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., and China National Chemical Corporation. At the end of 2018, new shareholder units were added, including China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd., China Electronics Technology Group Co., Ltd., and China Guoxin Holdings Co., Ltd.

中国商飞下辖设计研发中心（上海飞机设计研究院）、总装制造中心（上海飞机制造有限公司）、客户服务中心（上海飞机客户服务有限公司）、北京研究中心（北京民用飞机技术研究中心）、民用飞机试飞中心（上海飞机试飞工程有限公司）、基础能力中心〔上海航空工业（集团）有限公司〕、营销中心、新闻文化中心（上海《大飞机》杂志社有限公司）、商飞学苑（商飞党校）以及四川公司、美国有限公司、商飞资本有限公司、商飞集团财务有限责任公司等成员单位，在美国洛杉矶、法国巴黎、新加坡分别设有美国办事处、欧洲办事处、亚太办事处等办事机构。中国商飞参股成都航空有限公司和浦银金融租赁股份有限公司。

COMAC has design and development centers (Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute), final assembly and manufacturing centers (Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd.), customer service centers (Shanghai Aircraft Customer Service Co., Ltd.), Beijing Research Center (Beijing Civil Aircraft Technology Research Center), Civil Aircraft Test Flight Center (Shanghai Aircraft Test Flight Engineering Co., Ltd.), Basic Capability Center (Shanghai Aviation Industry (Group) Co., Ltd.), Marketing Center, News and Culture Center (Shanghai "Big Aircraft" Magazine Co., Ltd.), COMAC Academy (COMAC Party School), as well as member units such as Sichuan Company, American Co., Ltd., COMAC Capital Co., Ltd., and COMAC Group Finance Co., Ltd. It has offices in the United States, Paris, France, and Singapore Asia Pacific office and other administrative agencies. COMAC holds stakes in Chengdu Airlines Co., Ltd. and Puyin Financial Leasing Co., Ltd.
